Nearby Northeast Baptist Hospital nearby provides medical care for Forest Oak residents. This excellent medical facility boasts an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Sleep Center and a Weight Loss Surgery Center.

San Antonio Fire Department 39 provides for the safety and fire needs of local residents.

Private and public schools abound throughout the area. Oak Grove Elementary School is within walking distance, as is Douglas MacArthur High School. For those who desire private education, the Student in Christ Youth Center is within this region.
