Far North Central is a neighborhood located in the area surrounding the corners of Highway 281 and Highway 1604, in San Antonio, Texas. Downtown San Antonio is about 12 miles south.

Three hospitals are located in Far North Central. North Central Baptist Hospital is the first hospital in Texas to receive the honor of being included in the American Heart Association’s Target: Stroke Honor Roll. Parks in the neighborhood are being integrated into the city’s trail system, which is popular with hikers and bicyclists. The intent is to link the area to a 45 mile city-wide Greenway system. The Salado Creek Greenway is a land preservation area here, with four miles of trails that link to this system. A new soccer complex and a new dog park are also included. This entire project is designated for completion in 2012.

Twin-Oaks airport is a privately owned facility located within Far North Central. This airport provides air service for the local and surrounding communities which includes an aviation school.
