The Oak Park / Northwood neighborhood in San Antonio is adjacent to Interstate 410 and not far from the San Antonio International Airport, the Northeast Baptist Hospital, Northridge Park, McAllister Freeway and the McNay Art Museum.

The Oak Park / Northwood subdivision is simple and quaint with well-spaced brick homes, sprawling, tree-laden, manicured lawns and a friendly, wholesomeness that is well-suited to family life. Shaped shrubbery, paved drives, and towering trees dot the landscape. While a few homes are constructed of vinyl siding, the majority are brick, ranch-style, and have a one car garage. With two or three bedrooms per home, this district is perfect for small families, couples, and pet owners.

Preschools, public and private education centers, marital arts schools and even a School of Science and Technology are close to Oak Park. Northwood and Woodridge Elementary Schools are within walking distance.

McNay Art Museum is well-liked by area residents and visitors. This reasonably priced museum of paintings and sculptures has all the character of a mansion and all the charm of a large home. The Northeast Baptist Hospital has been open since 1970 and has several accredited chest pain centers for residents with heart problems. Northridge Park offers playground equipment for outdoor recreation and exercise, picnic tables for family activities, a softball field for the athletic fan, and plenty of room to walk the dog.

Local bus transportation, the San Antonio International Airport, Interstate 410 and McAllister Freeway make commuting a convenience in the Oak Park / Northwood community.
