Southeast of El Paso, Texas is the neighborhood of Loma Terrace. It is a semi-arid area with lots of scrub brush, but on the lots there is a great deal of landscaping. The homes are single-story ranch homes some of which are in the southwest style.

El Paso is convenient to many world-famous attractions. One of these is the White Sands National Monument – home of the largest gypsum dune fields in the world. Holloman Air force Base is nearby, so it’s not unusual to see stealth fighters overhead. The park is sometimes closed due to missile tests at the adjacent missile testing facility.
Las Cruces, New Mexico is just a 45-minute drive around the base of Franklin Mountain from downtown El Paso. The Old Mesilla area is a taste of the old west and is where Billy the Kid was once tried for murder.
At Hueco Tanks State Park, visitors can view rock-drawings and carvings made by Native Americans dated back as far as 1,500 B.C. Along with camping and picnicking facilities, the park also has nature trails, and world-class rock climbing opportunities.
In downtown El Paso, the Plaza Theatre is a place for theatre lovers to experience Broadway shows, concerts, opera, and special events.
