Eisenhowers Sahara Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Eisenhower’s Sahara is shaped like a triangle with the top tip cut off. Located on the east side of El Paso in the 79924 zip code area, the neighborhood is bordered on the north by Woodrow Bean Transmountain Road, on the east by McCombs Street, on the south by Will Ruth Avenue, and on the west by Dyer Street (Highway 54).
The neighborhood offers various types of housing, including mobile homes, single family homes, and apartment complexes. Inside the neighborhood are a variety of churches, schools, and the Recreation Ranch Park. A number of restaurants, local businesses, and specialty shops line the neighborhood’s west and east sides.
On hot summer days, residents may visit the Wet N’ Wild Waterworld, where the entire family is able to cool off on the park’s many water rides, which include wave pools, water slides, and picnic areas. Smaller children may enjoy the day in Toddler’s Cove, and season passes can also be purchased.
Eisenhower’s Sahara residents enjoy trips to the El Paso Museum of History. This museum, set in a modern, state of the art building, offers free admission to everything except special exhibits. The museum houses items from historical El Paso spanning from the late 1500s up to the present.
El Paso’s Franklin Mountains offer a reprieve to residents. Within just minutes, they are able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy nature at its fullest. On the southeast corner of the mountains, a tram takes visitors to the top of the mountains, where scenic views abound.
