Crestmont is a neighborhood that is situated in the northwest section of El Paso. It is a unique location in that it sits close to the borders of both New Mexico and the country of Mexico. Among the neighborhoods around it are Mesa Hills to its south, Upper Mesa Hills to its East, and Sunland Park North to the west. Crestmont is mostly made up of single-family homes.
There are several parks in the area for recreation. Sunland Park is in the western section of the neighborhood, while Crestmont Park is a little more southwest. Westside Park is in the southern section of Crestmont and Paul Harvey Park is northwest of the area. For other recreational endeavors there is Fiesta Lanes Bowling, as well as Leo Cancellare Pool.
Within its 79912 zip code, Crestmont offers at least two public school options on each level. There are four elementary schools in the vicinity, with those being Johnson, Putnam, Green, and Western Hills. Two middle schools are available, Morehead and Dr. Hornedo. High Schools around the neighborhood are Coronado and El Paso Academy West. There are also private options and also many libraries around the area, with the closest being Westside Library.
There are numerous things to do in Crestmont. Bordersights Tours offers tours of the El Paso area, or there is any number of museums local to the area that includes the University of Texas El Paso Centennial Museum as well as the Centennial Museum (not affiliated with UTEP). Three country clubs including Coronado, Doniphan, and El Paso are available for golf.
Crestmont also has fine hospital facilities for residents. Those places are Sierra Medical Center West, Las Palmas Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Del Sol Medical Center.
