The Texas State Aquarium is a day of fun and excitement waiting to happen. Located on Corpus Christi Beach, this aquarium is home to 12 exhibits, filled with animals from around the world. The entire family is sure to have a blast as you explore the Amazon jungle, Tortuga Cay and more. For more looks at nature the Padre Island National Seashore is 130,000 acres of exploration, while the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center offer a variety of over 2,500 different flowers to admire. For a more casual time with nature the Mustang Island State Park is the place to go. Enjoy some fishing or build a sand castle along the five miles of Gulf Coast shore; there is even a Paddling Trail for kayaking.

When it comes to food, Corpus Christi is the home of fresh seafood and authentic Tex-Mex.
