Wolf Pen Creek District Neighborhood in College Station, TX

Wolf Pen Creek District is a neighborhood in College Station, Texas. Located in zip code 77840, between Texas Avenue and State Highway 6, it is a mostly commercial area with some residential housing that serves the students of Texas A&M University. The university, which is situated on 5,500 acres, was founded in 1876 and is nationally recognized for academic programs in aerospace engineering, veterinary medicine, business, and more.

The majority of the housing units in the Wolf Pen Creek District are rentals, some of which are furnished. There is a variety commercial enterprises: business parks, warehouses and storage units, and stores and restaurants. The community also encompasses a number of smaller neighborhoods and complexes.

The Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater is home to the Starlight Music Series. Its park-like setting attracts music lovers of all ages. People come with their blankets and lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the performances, which in the past have featured such major stars as Tim McGraw.

Post Oak Mall houses more than 100 stores, businesses, and restaurants. There are several large retailers that anchor the mall, including Dillard’s and Macy’s. The mall’s two levels offer a variety of upscale shops. Among the favorites are Hot Topic, Express, Gap, Sunglass Hut, Aeropostale, Victoria’s Secret, GNC, Kay’s Jewelry, and more. A food court and outdoor play space are family- and kid-friendly.

There are several grocery stores near the neighborhood, including Sam’s Club, Kroger’s, H.E.B., and Albertson’s.
