The borders of the neighborhood are Route 6, Earl Rudder Freeway on the east, Dartmouth Street on the west, Southwest Parkway East to the south, and Colgate Drive to the north. Eastmark is located southeast of downtown College Station. This is residential neighborhood, but it is made up primarily of apartments instead of single-family detached homes. The topography is very flat, there are few trees, and the streets are wide and have sidewalks.

Post Oak Mall is within an easy ride of the Eastmark neighborhood. The mall is anchored by Macy’s, JC Penney’s, Sears, Beall’s and Dillard’s. There is a wide variety of other stores, including Bath and Body Works, GameStop, Fossil, Express and Gymboree. There are also restaurants such as Chick-fil-A and Sonic, among others.

Stephen C. Beachy Central Park is not located directly within the Eastmark neighborhood, but it is very close by. At 47 acres it is the largest park in College Station. Located on what was formerly a farm it offers more diverse activities than any other park in town. Ten of the acres are left in dense woods and there are two ponds. One of the popular features is the pavilion that can accommodate 200 people. There are baseball and softballs fields, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts. There is a fishing pier and a mile of trails that are perfect for walking and biking.

When the residents of the Eastmark neighborhood want to go grocery shopping, there is a Kroger Family Center close to the neighborhood on South Texas Avenue.
