The western border of the Upper Boggy Creek area is Interstate Highway 35 (IH-35), while the majority of the northern and eastern boundary follows Airport Boulevard. To the south, Manor Road contains most of the area with a small section falling in the southwestern corner where Manor Road meets the highway. The entire neighborhood falls in the 78722 zip code and it is bisected by 38 ½ Street. Though there is a lack of developed walkways, the roads in the neighborhood are not major through streets and are safe for pedestrians and cyclists.

Patterson Park, a medium-sized park with an installed playground, grass fields and a skate ramp, is positioned across from Lake Park, which has a man-made lake, space for soccer and football games and pedestrian-friendly sidewalks for walking or running. The Northwest Greenway also borders Airport Boulevard and IH-35, situated next to Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, a premier health center for children and young adults.

The Upper Boggy Creek area is located within the Austin Independent School District. Schools in the area include Maplewood Elementary and Campbell Elementary. This area is also home to the University Interscholastic League. Located in the southwestern corner of the neighborhood, this league helps promote and regulate extracurricular activities for sports, music and academic programs at the nation’s schools.
