Southeast Austin Neighborhood

Southeast Austin is located west of Interstate 35 and south of the Texas 45 Toll Road, along Farm to Market Road 1325. The proximity of this neighborhood to major roadways makes commuting for its residents trouble-free.

The draw of this neighborhood is location, location, location. Southeast Austin is close to many Austin area attractions and is also situated next to prime, recently developed upscale communities. Major employers in the immediate area include companies such as Dell, Samsung, Hewlett Packard, and IBM. Homes in the area are priced very affordably and generally are smaller, older one-story homes. Beautiful aged trees grace the properties. Apartment complexes are also located in the area and offer easy and affordable living options.

Located within Southeast Austin you will find Austin Raceway Park. At least one half of the track’s original asphalt remains. This track, a one-and-a-half-mile road course and drag strip, was closed in the early 1970s.

Just to the north of Southeast Austin lies La Frontera, which many residents consider the shopping mecca of Austin. La Frontera contains shopping, dining, and entertainment, all just a short drive north on Farm to Market 1325.
