Johnston Terrace is a neighborhood in Austin, Texas. The neighborhood is located to the west and north of Ed Bluestein Boulevard and East of Airport Boulevard. Most of the homes in Johnston Terrace were built between 1970 and 1980 with many different styles of homes ranging from multiple-family homes to detached dwellings.

Within Johnston Terrace is Govalle Park. The heavily wooded park is a popular destination for many residents, especially area youth. The park is well located for easy access and has a small swimming pool, baseball field, and a multi-purpose field that is often used by area youth for soccer, football and other activities.

For a better park with more amenities Festival Beach is located only about a mile away off of Robert Martinez Jr Street. Festival Beach is a popular park for residents looking to relax on the water. The park has excellent water frontage along Lady Bird Lake. The park also has several baseball fields that are used by area youth leagues. There is an excellent trail system that goes throughout the area providing several miles of pavement for those walkers, runners, skaters and cyclists looking to get a little extra exercise.

Another major point of interest is located about 8 miles to the south of Johnston Terrace. This is where the Austin Bergstrom International Airport is located. This large airport was moved from its original location in the 1990s in order to accommodate a quickly growing Austin area. The airport provides travel throughout the country and the rest of the world on some of the largest international airline companies. The airport is also a major employer in the area with many of the residents throughout Austin employed by the airport or by those providing services to the airport.
