East Oak Hill Austin is a tree-lined suburban neighborhood in southwestern Austin close to the edge of the county. It is part of the greater Oak Hill neighborhood with West Oak Hill, in the 78735 zip code. This area is full of open green spaces, large houses and a plethora of commercial and retail establishments along the major streets running through the neighborhood.
Houses in the area are modest, single-family modern construction on winding streets in pockets around the neighborhood. A trail through Barton Creek Wilderness Park acts as the northeastern border and is great for pedestrians and cyclists looking for fresh air and an easy connector to the Barton Creek Greenbelt.
The Barton Creek Wilderness Park is one of Austin’s largest parks and offers visitors trails, trees and a true wilderness experience. Wet and Wild Adventure Camp is headquartered in East Oak Hill and offers kids 7 to 15 a fun, activity-filled summer away from home, but still within the city.
Regents School of Austin is located in the western corner of the neighborhood near Southwest Parkway, which bisects the neighborhood. St. Andrew’s Episcopal School sits south of Regents School and offers another private school alternative to the Austin Independent School District which has several schools in the area.
