Woodland Hills is a neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee made up mainly of established, older ranch-style properties with brick exteriors set on fairly sizable lots. Residents are close to a number of shopping malls in the Nashville area, including the RiverGate Mall, which is located a short drive north in the town of Goodlettsville at 1000 Rivergate Parkway. The mall is home to over 150 retailers and features anchor stores such as Dillard’s, J.C. Penney, Macy’s, and Incredible Dave’s.

In addition, mall patrons can visit smaller retailers such as Payless ShoeSource, RadioShack, Dakota Watch Company, and OshKosh, or take a break from shopping activities at the food court. In the spring, the landscape in the community is dotted with a variety of flowers, including tulips, daffodils and amaryllis. Yards, too, are shaded by a variety of indigenous trees, including flowering dogwoods, chickasaws, bald cypresses, oaks, and red mulberries.

The community is located south of McCall Street, north of Harding Place and east of Nolensville Pike, with I-24 running adjacent to the neighborhood on the west side. Being close to I-24 makes it easy for locals to visit the various parks, shopping centers and family attractions that are only drive away, including the Grand Ole Opry House located east of downtown at 2804 Opryland Drive. The home of “Country Music,” offers backstage tours of the famous entertainment venue, which is an interesting excursion for anyone visiting the city and locals alike.

With its laid-back atmosphere and affordable housing, people are pleased to call Woodland Hills home. The neighborhood is both a practical and pleasant location in which to work and raise a family in the Nashville metropolitan area.
