West End Park Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
If you want to live in urban luxury in Nashville, West End Park is a perfect choice. Residents who live in this historic area have access to high-end shops, restaurants, and nightlife, along with the choice of a range of housing types and architectural styles. Recent development has made West End Park one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Nashville.
West End Park is located on the southwest edge of Nashville, just west of Vanderbilt University. Its borders include the railroad tracks to the north, Murphy Road to the south, Interstate 440 to the west and 31st Avenue to the east.
West End Park offers a mixture of Victorian single-family homes and condominiums. Many of the newer condos and apartments are brick buildings designed to fit in with the older feel of the neighborhood. West End Park was originally slated to be a high-end location for Nashville’s elite when it was planned in the late 1800s, with mansions of at least one acre each. However, economic problems turned the housing into smaller subdivisions with large condos and apartments.
Local residents can head out to Starbucks for a morning cup of coffee, or to the local Borders to check out a book and enjoy a treat from their café. There are also plenty of opportunities for local outdoor activities in West End Park. The neighborhood is within walking distance of Centennial Park, site of the Parthenon and the city’s Centennial Sportsplex. It’s also closely tied into the city’s reputation as the country music capital of the world: Capitol Records has its Nashville offices located within the neighborhood.
