One of the premier retail and entertainment centers anywhere is nearby on the banks of the Cumberland River. Opry Mills is destination shopping and Bass Pro Shop may be one of the reasons. Of course, this is also the site of one the nation’s premier music venues: the Grand Ole Opry. Other attractions at Opry Mills include a twenty-screen cinema complex, an IMAX and numerous restaurants. The General Jackson Showboat docks here. Cruises are popular anytime, with ever-changing shows and good dining. The Nashville skyline at night is especially dramatic.
