Ragland Drive Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The serenity of Ragland Drive gives the impression that this place must be miles away from anything. The mature trees give the big yards and quiet streets the kind of shady feel that one usually finds in the country. It’s a surprise that Nashville is just a couple of minutes away.
Ragland Drive is south of Nashville and is bounded by Ragland Drive on the east, Hogan Drive on the south, Franklin Pike on the west, and Farrell Road on the north. The neighborhood is right next to Interstate 65, but it isn’t easy to tell from the wooded yards that line the Ragland Drive Streets.
Even this close to “Music City,” it’s not much more than a long walk from the Ragland Drive area to get back to nature. The Radnor Lake Natural Area and Wildlife Preserve are 1200 acres of wilderness practically in the backyard. Hiking trails cut through the preserve and provide places for bird and wildlife watching. It’s a place to get out and enjoy the Tennessee climate.
The city of Nashville has something for everyone every day of the year.
Country music is a part of the DNA in Nashville. Every fan should go to the Grand Ole Opry at least once and get to be a part of the longest running radio show ever. Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge has been a place for up-and-coming artists to hone their craft for more than 50 years. Nashville is home to Earnest Tubbs Record Store, a must see for country music fans for half a century.
Sports fans have lots of choice of sports. The Predators of the NHL play downtown. The Tennessee Titans of the NFL host games in the fall. Fans of college sports have Tennessee State University to root for with more than 10 varsity sports programs.
