The neighborhood is located near a great middle Tennessee recreational area: Percy Priest Reservoir provides 14,000 acres of water playground. There are a half-dozen state parks and public access areas along its shores. For Lincoya Bay residents, boat rental and marina facilities are just north. Also nearby is Nashville Shores, a large water park, featuring flumes and slides, a great beach, and two miles of shoreline. One segment of Nashville’s great trail system, Greenway Trail, can be accessed nearby, just west of the Bell Street Bridge.

Golfers will delight in the number of courses in the area. Two Rivers, Shelby, and Ted Rhodes are great public courses. Ravenwood is the nearest Country Club. This 214-acre club, on the banks of Stones River, also has tennis courts and an Olympic-size pool.

The University of Memphis has a campus a few miles northeast and is the closest to Lincoya Bay. However, with easy access to I-40, all the major colleges and universities of Nashville are only minutes away as well. Peabody, Vanderbilt, Belmont, Lipscomb and Tennessee State University are among the best known.

The major entertainment, historic, and cultural attractions are close by, too. One of the best known is the Parthenon, home of the Nashville Art Museum and located in Centennial Park. The lovely Lake Watauga is in Centennial Park. The Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Schermerhorn Symphony Center and Tennessee Performing Arts Center are other favorites.
