Historic Waverly is a streetcar suburb situated west of Woodland in Waverly, in Nashville, Tennessee. The Historic Waverly neighborhood is bounded by Wedgewood Avenue to the north, 10th Avenue South on the west, Bradford Avenue to the south and 8th Avenue south to the east. The Waverly area is named after the home owned by A.W. Putnam. The original Putnam farm site is located in the neighboring area of Woodland in Waverly.

Historic Waverly is situated in the heart of historic Nashville. The architecture of the homes in Historic Waverly are prime illustrations of Queen Anne, Classical Revival and Bungalow. Many of the homes represent early twentieth-century style and have been well preserved. The neighborhood contains a mixture of homeowners, renters and small businesses.

Leashed dogs are also permitted in Sevier Park. Since its opening in the late 1940s, Sevier Park has expanded with the additions of a playground, tennis courts, athletic fields and swimming pool.
