Country music lovers enjoy taking a quick trip into the city to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The facility showcases country music over the last several decades. Just down the street is the Ryman Auditorium. This 2,362-seat music venue was the home of the Grand Ole Opry for over 30 years. The historic building opened in 1892 as the Union Gospel Tabernacle. The facility was used for the Grand Ole Opry broadcasts from 1943 until 1974 when the Opry moved to a larger building.
