With its location right off of Highway 70 in Tennessee, Coronado is a centrally located for the busy commuting family; the community also enjoys easy access to Highway 100 and Interstate 40. The neighborhood has a scenic backdrop with beautiful parkland bordering the south side. There is a mix of single-family homes, apartments, and condos in the neighborhood.

Shopping is plentiful in the area, whether it is at stand-alone retail stores or any number of malls that dot the landscape around Coronado. Belle Forest and Bellevue Shopping Centers are both within two miles, while the Mall at Green Hills and Hill Center Bell Meade are a little less than six miles away.

Percy Warner and Edwin Warner are the parks that make up the southern edge of Coronado and give residents plenty of green space to enjoy and explore. Children can learn a lot from the Warner Nature Center that is under a mile from Coronado. If there is a golfer in the family, they will enjoy hitting the links at the Harpeth Hills Golf Course or the Belle Meade Country Club. One other beautiful outdoor space is Radnor Lake Natural Area and Wildlife Refuge, which is about five miles away.

Nearby schools include Westmeade Elementary School, Bellevue Middle School, and Hillwood Comprehensive High School. These public schools are part of the Metro Nashville-Davidson County School District.  

The Coronado area features the Carmike Bellevue 8 Movie Theater for entertainment, as well as interesting attractions like the Belle Meade Plantation. Residents can enjoy dinner and a show at Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre, which is three miles southwest of the neighborhood. St. Thomas is the closest hospital to Coronado.
