Belair Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The Bel Air neighborhood of Nashville is located on the southeast side of the city. It sits just to the southwest of the junction of Interstate 40 and Briley Parkway. The closest major Nashville landmark to the Bel Air neighborhood is the Nashville International Airport which is located just to the southeast of the I-40/Briley Parkway junction.
With well over two hundred homes spread over seven main streets, the Bel Air neighborhood is one of the larger neighborhoods in southeast Nashville. While the homes in Bel Air are older and smaller than those in newer subdivisions, the yards are larger and the trees are more mature.
Visitors to Bel Air will find this Nashville neighborhood somewhat secluded from areas of commerce. With much of the surrounding area serving as an industrial zone around the airport, residents of Bel Air do not have the convenience of a specifically local dining, shopping or banking area. Fortunately, the neighborhood’s proximity to Briley Parkway provides Bel Air residents with easy access to other parts of Nashville. This is particularly useful for business commuting, as well as personal commerce.
Residents of Bel Air have three places of worship close enough that they do not require highway travel. They are the Vultee Church of Christ, Glenwood Baptist Church and Glencliff Presbyterian Church. A variety of other churches are just a short drive away on either Interstate 40 or Briley Parkway.
Children who live in the Bel Air neighborhood attend schools in the Metropolitan Nashville School District of Davidson County and are zoned for Glencliff Elementary, Cameron Middle School, and Glencliff Comp High School.
