Eastside Neighborhood

The Eastside neighborhood of Greensville, South Carolina is a fairly large neighborhood in terms of the area it encloses. It is bounded by the Wade Hampton Boulevard on the northwest, Laurens Road on the west and Woodruff Road on the south. East North Street, also known as Highway 385, runs through the neighborhood as it is a major thoroughfare leading to Greenville Downtown Airport, located right in Eastside. The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is not too far away.

With the location of Bob Jones University located in the northern part of the neighborhood, post-secondary students can stay at home and even walk back and forth to their classes. Residents who want to take evening classes have a great opportunity with this educational institution right on their doorstep.

Cleveland Park is very near to this neighborhood. The main attraction in this park is its zoo that spans 14 acres. Here children delight in seeing animals from all over the world. This park is the largest one in the city, offering tennis courts, playground areas, walking trails, and softball fields.

Avid shoppers who live in the Eastside neighborhood love the fact that they have shopping venues right on their doorstep. The Haywood Mall Shopping Center and Macy’s Haywood Mall are both locations where residents can buy just about anything they need. Both of these shopping centers have many restaurants and coffee shops and there are many others along East North Street. Residents have the convenience of being able to bring home something for dinner any day of the week or even take an evening stroll to their favorite place for coffee.
