The Greenville Downtown Airport sits just below Interstate 385, minutes to the southeast of the neighborhood, as well.
Bob Jones University, a large local employer and huge source of student renters during the academic term is located just a few miles to the east of the Cotton Street Area community. As a result, Greenville is a college town, especially with the inclusion of another local university, Furman.
