St Clair Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The St. Clair Neighborhood is in the 15210 zip-code area of the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver (1974-1982) Lynn Swann was the MVP for Super Bowl X, and a Pro Bowl player for many years, while contributing over one hundred scholarships to the Pittsburgh School of Ballet.
The neighborhood has a northern border that follows Parkwood Road as it bends slightly to meet the south eastern boundary of Beck Run Road. The tree-lined streets gradually rise to the pinnacle of St. Clair, as Wagner Street starts off the southwestern border before Mountain Avenue takes over to make the western line homes peak out from the thick woodland surrounding.
To the north of the St. Clair Neighborhood is the South Side Park, a 65-acre recreation area on the former sight of Sankey Brick Works. To the east, through almost a mile of natural wooded area, is the Monongahela River as it loops through the city. To the south of the neighborhood is the Galleria Mall for the local Ann Taylor and Talbots, as well as Starbucks. To the west is the large Mckinley Park, complete with tennis courts, basketball courts a football/baseball field and a skate boarding park.
The rent in the neighborhood varies largely by both the size and location of the property. Luxury apartments in the stalwart, cultured brick buildings is about a thousand dollars more a month than a unit of the same size a block away in an apartment building.
The neighborhood is pedestrian friendly with wide well cared for walkways, most of the public parks allows leashed pets, and the Alleghany County White Oak Park has an “off-leash” area for pet exercise. Public transportation through the neighborhood is provided by the Port Authority with a network of bus routes that connect to the city’s light rail system.
