It is bound by Crafton Boulevard and Baldwick Road on the north and Morange Road on the south. On the west it extends to Chartiers Avenue, and on the east it is bounded by Noblestown Road. The Oakwood community spans more than .325 square miles and is home to 1,020 residents. It is largely residential, but a significant amount of the western and eastern portion of the neighborhood is devoted to undeveloped woodlands. Roughly one-half mile west is the Chartiers Heights Country Club. This prestigious private club offers a championship 18-hole course that was updated in the 1990s by Arthur Hills. The club also offers a full-size swimming pool, full-service bars, and dining options.
