It is an urban oasis with plants, pavilions, and walkways. Lake Zither, an 8,000 square foot pond, is located in the garden. Three types of wood and over 500 tons of rock from China are part of the landscaping.
The neighborhood is also near the Portland Japanese Garden. The 5.5-acre garden is composed of five gardens based on the Shinto, Buddhist, and Taoist philosophies. The well-designed garden includes pagodas, stone lanterns, and bridges as part of its landscaping. The garden is considered one of the most authentic Japanese-style gardens outside of Japan.
