Rose Creek Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The centerpiece of the Rose Creek neighborhood in Fargo is the Rose Creek Golf Course. The homes of this community literally surround the greens. A few residences on the eastern side of Rose Creek are sandwiched between the golf course and the banks of the Red River. The Atonement Lutheran Church of Fargo sits on University Drive South, next to two ponds near the entrance to the course. The elegant Seasons Restaurant and the more casual Creekside Lounge are on the golf course grounds.
This south Fargo neighborhood is rather new. The area was annexed to the city in the early 1990s, and development began shortly thereafter. Rose Creek offers a combination of single-family homes and high-rise apartments, many with golf course or river views, or both. It is a pedestrian-friendly area with trails leading down to the river. Fishing is a popular sport along the banks.
Besides the church near the golf course, Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church and the Community Church of Christ are both on 52nd Avenue South on the neighborhood’s southern end. Schools nearby include Centennial Elementary on 25th Street South, Discovery Middle School on 40th Avenue South, and Shanley High School, also on 25th Street South.
In addition to the Seasons Restaurant, the only other eatery nearby is Subway off 40th Avenue South, to the northwest of Rose Creek. That same street leads to Interstate 29. Taking this freeway north leads to the West Acres Shopping Center, home to Sears, Macy’s, and an eclectic food court. Along the way are more Subway stores, a Domino’s Pizza outlet, and a Flying J Travel Plaza. The last is probably best known to truckers and those who spend a lot of time on the road, but Flying J offers a restaurant, mini-market, and a gas station.
