Centennial Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Located on the southern end of Fargo, Centennial is one of the city’s newest neighborhoods. The land was annexed between 1989 and 1995, which is when the bulk of development occurred. Its collection of tree-lined streets is home to mostly single-family residences and a few townhouses and apartments.
Centennial supports an active lifestyle. A bike path circles the neighborhood, and Timberline Recreational Trails bisects the area. Directly east is Rose Creek Golf Course. On the other side of the course is the Red River, where locals fish from the banks. Centennial Park, along 40th Avenue South, offers baseball fields, a playground, and restrooms. In winter, an ice-skating and hockey rink is set up. The smaller Fox Run Park, off 32nd Street South, is in the center of the neighborhood.
Centennial Elementary School is on 25th Street South near the park. Just outside the district is Discovery Middle School, to the east on 40th Avenue South. Shanley High School is about a half mile south of Centennial on 25th Street South. The closest places of worship are Hope Lutheran Church and Community Baptist Church, both just north of the neighborhood on 25th Street South.
Restaurants, shops, and other services can be found just outside of Centennial. The closest restaurant within walking distance is a Subway on 39th Avenue South, one block north. Rose Creek Golf Course is home to the upscale Seasons Restaurant. Interstate 29, which frames Centennial to the west, leads to West Area Shopping Center. This indoor mall offers national stores like Sears and Macy’s, a 14-screen movie theater, and an eclectic food court.
