Southwest of downtown Fargo, North Dakota, is the neighborhood of Carl Ben. It is a pleasant neighborhood of older small to medium-sized one and two-story homes, townhouses, condos, and mobile homes on tree-lined streets. Block Six Apartments, Maplewood Bend Apartments, Ashbury Apartments, and Sheridan Pointe Apartments are among the apartment complexes in the area. Interstate 94 is not far to the north.

The Space Aliens Grill and Bar features a 30-foot high domed ceiling that depicts outer space. The dining room, bar, and arcade has alien sculptures. In the arcade, kids can win tickets and redeem them for prizes.

The Roger Maris Museum chronicles the New York Yankee career of Fargo native Roger Maris. Uniforms, baseball equipment, and tapes of Maris’s last 12 home runs are among the exhibits.

Visitors can take a 45-minute pontoon boat ride on the Red River from the S.S. Ruby Pontoon Boat Ride Tours. Canoe, Kayak, and bike rentals are also available from the staging area. The Red River Zoo sits on 16 acres of land and houses 60 animal species in their natural environments. There are refreshments, a gift shop, and a carousel on-site.

Golf courses around Fargo include Edgewood Municipal Golf Course, Osgood Golf Course, and The Meadows Golf Course. The Blue Wolf Casino is located in Cactus Jack’s Saloon and features poker, blackjack, and paddlewheel games. The Fargo Civic Center is the home of the Fargo Moorhead Derby Girls – Roller Derby.
