Westwood Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Westwood, a small community just off the beaten track in North Raleigh, combines the feeling of a small-town community with a location convenient to area shopping and attractions.
Located immediately beyond the intersection of Lynn and Creedmoor roads, Westwood is a quaint community made up of mostly one-story town homes built in the late 1970s. Manicured lawns, quiet cul-de-sacs, and mature landscaping give the neighborhood a park-like fee. Residents are often seen in their yards or walking their dogs down one of the neighborhood’s quiet streets.
Residents who venture out of their quiet community will find themselves convenient to everything North Raleigh has to offer. Crabtree Valley Mall, one of the Triangle’s premier shopping sites, is located just a mile south. Brier Creek, one of Raleigh’s newer shopping and entertainment locales, is just a few miles up Highway 70.
Sports fans living in Westwood can find their fix just a few miles down the road at the RBC Center. The Center is home to the Carolina Hurricanes and the North Carolina State University men’s basketball team and the site of many concerts, musicals, and other events.
Westwood is also mere minutes away from downtown Raleigh and some of the state’s most popular museums, galleries, boutiques, shops, and restaurants. North Carolina State University, Peace College, Meredith College, and Shaw University all call downtown Raleigh home as well.
Within walking distance to both Lynn and Creedmoor roads, the Westwood neighborhood is convenient to bus lines and within biking distance to many of the area’s grocery stores, gyms, schools, and parks. Lake Lynn, which is less than a half mile away, boasts more than 75 acres of trails and is a prime attraction at which to bike, jog, rollerblade, or just feed the ducks.
