Located approximately 7.5 miles southeast of Falls Lake State Recreation Area, Villas at Falls Lake is a small Raleigh, North Carolina neighborhood in the 27587 zip code. Homes of the neighborhood surround Midlavian Drive on the northwest side of Falls of Neuse Road. With limited access to the community, Villas at Falls Lake is a tranquil area with little through-traffic. Nearby neighborhoods include The Falls to the northeast and Falls Pointe to the south.

The main recreational attraction to the area is Falls Lake State Recreation Area. With over 25,000 acres of natural North Carolina landscape and the 12,000-acre lake, this recreation area is a popular destination for local residents. Activities available to visitors are fishing, boating, swimming, trail walking and hiking, mountain biking, and camping. Residents can also bring their leashed-pets along to the recreation area.

The Falls Lake Project began as a way to control flooding caused by the Neuse River. This 250+ mile long river extends south from the recreation area to the northwest of Villas at Falls Lake. Running west of the neighborhood is Falls Dam Road which borders the river at its northern border. The river provides even more recreational opportunities for rafters and anglers.

Area residents have access to various small businesses along Falls of Neuse Road. Larger shopping and dining venues are located northeast of the neighborhood near the Wakefield community. Wakefield Crossing and Wakefield Commons both offer grocery stores and restaurants. Situated between these two shopping outlets is Living Arts College @ School of Communication Arts.

Public schools near the Villas at Falls Lake community include Wakefield Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. All are situated less than two miles to the northeast on Wakefield Pines Drive.
