Raleigh, North Carolina nicknamed the “City of Oaks,” is the second largest city in the state with more than 350,000 residents. The Raleigh Beltline (I-440) and the Northern Wake Expressway (I-540) are easily accessible via Six Forks Road.

The Northclift CAT bus route is within walking distance, transporting commuters directly into downtown Raleigh.

It’s a short walk to Shelley Lake Park from Northclift Village. This 53-acre lake park has 2.5 miles of walking trails and is connected to the Capital Greenway Trail System. Residents can jog, fish, hike, and enjoy various nature activities at the park. The Sertoma Art Center is at Shelley Lake, offering programs for all ages, plus events and exhibitions.

The Northridge Country Club is a quick five-minute drive. It features two 18-hole golf courses and 400 beautiful acres of North Carolina scenery. The Club also boasts a 70,000 square foot clubhouse, tennis courts, fitness center, and Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Other points of interest can be found nearby in Raleigh’s downtown area. The historic City Market offers specialty shopping, and the Mordecai Historic Park on Mimosa Street features the birthplace of the 17th U.S. President, Andrew Johnson. Other points of interest include the Marbles Kids Museum and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
