Homeplace is a tiny Raleigh community in the 27604 zip code. Hoyle Drive runs adjacent to the neighborhood, and it’s near the larger streets of East Millbrook Road and Green Road.

While Homeplace itself is residential, it is near major shopping areas. The Capital Crossing Shopping Center is within easy walking distance of anywhere in the neighborhood, and it houses such popular stores as Target. Gresham Lake Antique Mall, which is known throughout the greater area by decorating and antique enthusiasts, is a little over two miles northeast of Homeplace.

Homeplace is known as a very green community. It’s easy to walk within the neighborhood, and several bus stops align Greed Road and Millbrook Road, connecting residents to the greater Raleigh community. Recycling services are within two miles as well.

Also, the City of Raleigh’s Marsh Creek Park is only a half-mile south of Homeplace. Dog owners will appreciate that the Millbrook Exchange Dog Park is less than two miles north of the neighborhood, welcoming dogs off-leash in designated areas and many canine-friendly amenities.

Homeplace is also family-friendly. The fun Adventure Landing Amusement Park, which attracts families from all over the greater area, is only a mile south of the neighborhood. It offers lots of different games, laser tag, and an arcade, among other attractions.

What often attracts families to the area is the quality of local public and private schools. St. Thomas More Academy is a high school with a strong academic background. Summut Christian Academy, located only a half-mile from Homeplace, is noted for its strong teaching staff. Brentwood School, located only a mile south of the neighborhood, is noted for scholastic achievement.

The Homeplace community also has a wealth of after-school studios, activities and specialized schools themselves. The Raleigh Music Academy welcomes students of all ages, and it’s within walking distance of the neighborhood. Karate International of Raleigh is a half-mile from Homeplace, as is the Raleigh School of Gymnastics.
