Emerald Village Apartments for Rent

Emerald Village is a neighborhood in Raleigh. This North Carolina community is bordered by Rock Quarry Road on the eastern edge and a half-mile section of wooded forestland on the west. It is one block wide and two blocks long.

Trees line the streets, and the single- and multi-family homes are surrounded their own bits of greenery. Most homes were built in the 1980s and have large yards and plenty of privacy.

Even though Emerald Village feels very rural, the neighborhood is within a few blocks of a strip mall on Rock Quarry Road containing a Food Lion grocery, Domino’s Pizza, and Subway. Following Rock Quarry Road farther west leads to Interstate 40; the Raleigh Country Club and Golf Course, eight miles north; and downtown Raleigh, nine miles northwest. The hiking trails and picnic areas of Anderson Point Park are three miles to the north of the neighborhood.

Heading south on Interstate 40 takes Emerald Village residents to another cluster of restaurants and shops at the Route 70 connector. Driving north on Route 70 leads to Garner Town Square, home to a PetSmart, Home Depot, First Citizens Bank, and the Garner Towne Square Movie Theater. Continuing west another mile on Route 70 leads to a Wal-Mart Superstore. The area to the east of Emerald Village is hilly and sparsely populated.

Barwell Road Elementary School is less than a mile north, as is Little Angels Daycare on Marshlane Way. East Garner Middle School on Jones Sausage Road is to the southwest, and Southeast Raleigh Magnet High is four miles away. Nearby churches include Restoration International and the Solid Rock Baptist, both on Pearl Road.
