There are five miles of trails throughout the park’s 230-acre area. Park activities include mountain biking, hiking, camping and various water sports. The Capitol Area Greenway Trail System can be accessed from the park’s north lot.

The North Ridge Country Club is less than three miles from Crown Oaks. Its 400-acres are home to two 18-hole golf courses plus tennis courts, a fitness center and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

The Wakemed Hospital Raleigh Campus is only nine miles from the neighborhood of Crown Oaks, located on New Bern Avenue. It is Wake County’s only certified Primary Stroke Center.

Residents of Crown Oaks can enjoy easy access to many of the area’s shopping venues including Crabtree Valley Mall, North Hills Shopping Center and Triangle Town Center.
