The Carriages at Allyns Landing is an active lifestyle community designed for seniors 55 years of age and up, situated at the center of North Raleigh, along Old Lead Mine Road. The neighborhood consists of a number of 2200 square foot carriage-style homes. The community is very pedestrian friendly, with a number of restaurants, stores, and libraries located within walking distance of the residences. The average home in this area begins in the mid $450s.
There are a number of restaurants and other eateries located in the community, ranging from fast food places like McDonalds and Burger King, to sit-down chains including Chili’s Bar and Grill, Ruby Tuesday, and Romano’s Macaroni Grill, to popular local establishments such as Snoopy’s Hot Dogs and Sweetea, Llc. Durant Nature Park, located within 2 miles of the neighborhoods, features walking trails and two camping sites located along a small, man-made lake,. Cedar Hill Park, located within 1.5 miles of resident’s homes, offers picnic and BBQ areas, as well as open green space, and Millbrook Exchange Park provides a number of shaded walking areas, picnic tables and benches, and a wide expanse of open green space.
