Asbury Park Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
There is a special spot in Raleigh where four major thoroughfares: Western Boulevard, Hillsborough Street, Buck Jones Road and Jones Franklin Road converge. Tucked away, just between Buck Jones and Western Boulevard is little Asbury Park. This small and simple community composed of single family homes and duplexes is shielded from the Raleigh hustle and bustle by foliage and pine trees.
The duplexes and the location of the community make it an excellent place for singles and small families. A convenience store and Plaza West Shopping Center are short walking distances away. The shopping center covers the basic necessities, such as fast food restaurants, dry cleaners and a grocery store. However, Plaza West also has an eclectic offering of service providers – a bar, florist, pawn shop, gym and tattoo parlor to name a few. Residents can also cross Western Boulevard for a car wash, coin laundry and hair salon.
Those that really like shopping only have to travel a short distance on Buck Jones Road. South Hills Shopping Center, Crossroads Plaza, Cary Town Center Mall and many casual dining restaurants are very close! Buck Jones is included on several routes for Capital Area Transit buses, giving Asbury Park residents an environmentally friendly transportation choice to various locations throughout Raleigh and Cary, North Carolina. Buck Jones is also home to Hope Community Church, one of Raleigh’s largest and most popular non-denominational churches.
Just a little farther away are the North Carolina State fairgrounds and North Carolina State University. Traveling toward downtown Raleigh on either Western Boulevard or Hillsborough Street will provide a wide variety of restaurant and entertainment options. In the opposite direction, Asbury Park residents will find that Research Triangle Park and Durham, North Carolina are a short commute away.
