Hunter Hills, on the southwest side of Greensboro, North Carolina, was established between 1955 and 1960; it has been home to Greensboro families for generations. Patterson Street borders it on the north, Interstate 40 on the south and South Holden Road to the west.

Greensboro, named for Revolutionary War patriot General Nathanael Greene, is a city rich in history, culture and industry. In addition to manufacturing textiles, electronic components and furniture, Greensboro is home to Jefferson-Pilot insurance and United Guarantee Corp. The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is just 1.5 miles from Hunter Hills. The facilities host concerts, college basketball, Broadway touring shows and even the U. S. Figure Skating Championships.
