Other shopping centers in the area provide small amounts of dining and shopping but there isn’t a true mall shopping experience nearby. For a mall shopping experience, members of the Marlwood neighborhood must take a short drive over to the downtown area and visit such places as EpiCentre and Founders Hall. Both of these locations host various shopping locations with both casual and fine dining.

Marlwood also has numerous attractions nearby. By the Delta Village Shopping Center is a skating rink. The skating rink is the perfect place for birthday parties and other get togethers. One popular place to go for a good time is the Pine Lake Country Club. Pine Lake is home to an 18 hole golf course shaped with North Carolina’s natural beauty in mind. The course is opened to people of all ages with junior golf and other groups available. The course presents a challenge for people of all skill levels. The Country Club also offers its members numerous amenities. There are tennis courts and a pool on the property along with a place to dine.
