Lakeview Park’s southern border is marked by Marrimon Avenue, which separates it from Beaver Lake. The community is within the 28804 zip code. To the east, Midland Drive and Edgelawn Road mark the border between the neighborhood and the nearby Beaver Lake Golf Course. The western boundary runs to the west of Parkside Place and Pinewood Street and follows Stratford Road, which wraps around to the north of the neighborhood to complete the boundary.
To the southeast, residents and visitors can shop at the Northland Shopping Center, home to restaurants and various stores. It also has grocery stores for daily necessities. Lakeview Park is also close to a second golf course at the Grover Park County Club. Both local courses are great sports for amateur and pro golfers.
Several types of schools surround the Lakeview Park area. To the northwest, North Asheville Christian School is a private institution that provides education for students from preschool through high school. It also has labs for children taught at home.
To the southeast of the neighborhood, elementary and middle school students can enroll at Asheville Catholic School. Nearby, Ira B. Jones Elementary School is a public option for Lakeview Park families and is part of the Asheville City Schools system.
