Clayton, a small borough roughly 25 miles south of Philadelphia, is located in New Jersey’s Gloucester County. The borough was incorporated in 1858 and is a relatively rural community, home to just over 8,000.
Clayton is located on the south end of the Glassboro Wildlife Management Area, a wild area covering 2,337 acres of deciduous swamp forest and containing several ponds and streams. This is a popular bird-watching and animal-viewing location year-round. Though wild, the area does contain several walking paths through the woods.
When you find a Clayton apartment to rent, you’ll be near several towns, including Franklin, Monroe, Elk, and Glassboro. Philadelphia, just a short drive north, provides historic sites, museums, theaters, restaurants, nightlife, and more.
