Winnwood is a neighborhood in Kansas City, Mo. The area is to the east and south of Interstate 35 and west of Brighton Avenue. Another fun destination for families is the Winnwood Skate Center off of Northeast Winnwood Road. This skate center is the largest in Kansas City and provides an excellent facility for all ability levels. It has a main floor and one that is meant for new or younger skaters looking to avoid getting in the way of the more experienced skaters. Winnwood Skate Center is a popular place for lock-ins, events, and parties.

Directly south of the skate center is Festival Foods, which is the largest grocery shopping destination in the immediate area. The neighborhood has an International House of Pancakes, which is a popular restaurant with residents.
