Perhaps one of the most popular spots for enjoying outdoor fun is the Midwest Worlds of Fun, located to the east of the neighborhood. It’s a family-themed amusement park. For medical care, North Kansas City Hospital is a short drive from Winnetonka.

The Kansas City Museum and the Arabia Steamboat Museum are both within seven miles of Winnetonka. The neighborhood features two shopping centers nearby, Winwood and Antioch. Golfing at Maple Creek Golf Course is close to the neighborhood. Residents can support their favorite Kansas City sports teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL and the Kansas City Royals of the American League, just 10 minutes away.
