Mission Lake is a neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. The neighborhood is part of the 64145, 64146, and 64131 zip codes and located south of Red Bridge Road, north of Blue Ridge Boulevard, west of Prospect Road, and east of Wornall Avenue. Homes in the area are incredibly diverse in age and style with the large majority of the homes built between 1960-1990.

Mission Lake is known for being a highly scenic area separated from the hustle and bustle of big city life. Throughout the neighborhood there are loads of trees providing great greenery. The additional space also provides plenty of room for great recreation with numerous parks.

One of the biggest recreation centers in the area is located to the northeast at Kernoodles Park. This beautiful park has loads of forest and lots of water providing lots of opportunity for visitors to the park. The park has several trails providing access to the different waterways in the park. These waterways are perfect for fishing and viewing wildlife.

Another popular recreation area is located to the southwest off of Summit Street. This is where the Blue Hills Country Club is located. This popular club is one of the largest in the area and provides a quality playing surface for the many golfers that use the golf course at the club on a regular basis. The club also has tennis courts and other amenities inside of the clubhouse.

Shopping can be accessed by taking a short drive about 2-3 miles to the west off of 119th Street where Plaza Town Center Mall is located. This large area mall provides some of the best shopping in the area with numerous major brand name retail establishments as well as many different restaurants. The mall offers a wide assortment of goods, services, and foods to satisfy a large number of tastes.
