Most of Meadowbrook Heights is residential, including hundreds of single-family homes. However, much of the southern portion of the community is undeveloped green space. Several churches, a music school, a few commercial buildings, and a scattering of single-family residences can also be found on the neighborhood’s south side.

An idyllic neighborhood for frequent travelers, Meadowbrook Heights is within five miles east of the Kansas City International Airport, which is accessible via nearby I-435.

Golfers living in this community can choose between two nearby golf clubs. The Stanley Farms Golf Club is just minutes to the east, and the Tiffany Greens Golf Club is just over two miles to the west. Both are private golf clubs with superb 18-hole championship courses, but Stanley Farms also offers additional country club facilities such as a swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and fitness center.

Baseball lovers living in this community may frequent Platte Purchase Park. Just a short drive to the west, this park is devoted entirely to baseball, offering more than one dozen ball fields in total and hosting the Clay-Platte Baseball League.
