Loma Vista is a small neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. The neighborhood’s boundaries are East 87th Street to the north, East Bannister Street to the south, Interstate 435 to the west, and Blue Ridge Boulevard to the east. Loma Vista has a mix of commerce, shopping, and residential areas, with green spaces tucked in between.

Homes in Loma Vista are a mix between Ranch-style and split-level homes, with apartments, town homes, and duplexes scattered through the area as well. Mature trees, wide streets, and newer buildings make Loma Vista a highly desirable and highly walkable area.

Public and Private golf courses are conveniently located near Loma Vista. Turner Golf Course is just minutes away, and Oakwood Country Club – also a wonderful place for weddings – lies just to the south. A short drive to the north of Loma Vista is the Swope Memorial Golf Course, a public course.

Many Loma Vista residents are fans of the Kansas City Area’s many sports teams. You can find many of them in the parking lot of One Arrowhead way on Sundays in the fall, tailgating as they get ready to cheer the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium.

In the spring, the building across the parking lot from Arrowhead, Kauffman Stadium at One Royal Way, is where the Kansas City Royals Major League Baseball club plays its home games. Further, soccer fans will have a new stadium in which to cause pandemonium when the Kansas City Wizards Major League Soccer teams starts its 2011 campaign.

Recreational activities and facilities are spread throughout the Kansas City area. Swope Park is only a few minutes north of Loma Vista and houses The Starlight Outdoor Theatre, hiking trails, sports fields, and several picnic areas. Kernoodle Lake is just south of Loma Vista and offers a beach, fishing, and boating.
