Also in this area is the De Lano Alternative School, serving preschool through twelfth grade. Across East Linwood Boulevard from these things are Central Middle School and Central High School, so many of Ingleside’s students are within walking distance of school. Milton Moore Elementary School is about 7 blocks to the east, so some of these students may need to ride the bus.

The convenience of Interstate 70 allows residents of Ingleside to commute to Downtown Kansas City within about 10 minutes, with it being less than four miles away. Veterans here are close to medical care at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, less than a mile away.
