The setup is perfect for parents wanting to let their children interact with other kids while they socialize with other parents. The park also has a nice lake that is frequented by water fowl. It is also a good place to go fishing.

The Winwood Skate Center is another popular destination near the south side of Glenhaven on the other side of Interstate 35. This skate center is where many area children have their birthday parties. It is also popular with free skating and a fun place to take the family.
