Education programs provide wonderful learning opportunities for visitors that are still fun and entertaining. The zoo also has an area called The Lagoon located on the east side. It is basically a lake with several islands all connected by bridges, providing great views of wildlife in a unique environment.

North of the neighborhood is the Starlight Theatre off of Starlight Road. This popular outdoor theater provides great musical opportunities for residents of the area. Many of the musical acts are family oriented, allowing everyone in the family to come out for a night of fun. The Starlight is a great place to visit after a day at the zoo.
